Job Description

We are seeking a FinOps Architect / Designer to develop scalable solutions for cloud cost optimization, financial governance, and technology cost transparency. The ideal candidate will combine cloud engineering, data analytics, product management, and financial expertise to improve cost efficiency across cloud, Kubernetes, and AI environments while aligning technology spending with business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Define FinOps product capabilities, roadmaps, requirements, and performance metrics.
• Develop cost allocation models, showback/chargeback frameworks, unit economics, and financial forecasts.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes workloads, and AI/LLM consumption across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Integrate cost management practices into Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and engineering workflows.
• Build data models, dashboards, and automated insights for cost trends, anomalies, and savings opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, product, and architecture teams to implement cost governance and optimization strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in FinOps, cloud financial management, technical product management, or platform engineering.
• Strong knowledge of cloud cost optimization, forecasting, cost allocation, and financial governance.
• Understanding of AI/LLM cost management, token economics, and model cost-performance optimization.
• Experience with Kubernetes cost optimization, Terraform, CI/CD, and observability platforms such as Datadog.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, APIs, Excel, BI tools, and cloud cost management platforms.
• Experience with data integration, analytics, automation, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Knowledge of cloud commitment programs, reservations, and enterprise discount strategies.
• Preferred Certifications: FinOps Certified Practitioner, FinOps Certified Engineer, or Technology Business Management (TBM) certification.
