Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain reliable, scalable backend applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java development, backend services, REST APIs, and database integration, with a focus on writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs to support application functionality and system integrations.
• Develop and optimize database queries, data models, and application performance.
• Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following development best practices.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, architects, and cross-functional teams.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and Agile development activities.
• Support application deployments, production troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Java and object-oriented programming.
• Experience developing backend applications using Spring Boot and related Spring frameworks.
• Proficiency in building and consuming REST APIs and working with microservices architectures.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle, debugging, and coding best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to messaging technologies such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
