Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and modernize financial accounting and forecasting applications.
  • Enhance forecasting engines to improve accuracy, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Support quarterly and annual production runs by monitoring processes, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring accurate and timely outputs.
  • Diagnose defects, reduce technical debt, and implement software engineering best practices.
  • Develop clean, production-grade Python code with automated unit and integration testing.
  • Collaborate across data, services, APIs, and infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Partner with FP&A and business stakeholders to implement forecasting capabilities and scenario analysis.
  • Support infrastructure upgrades, platform migrations, and technology enhancements.
  • Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, documentation, and Agile development practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on Python software development experience, focused on production-grade software rather than scripting.
  • Proficiency with Git, SQL, Pandas, and unit testing.
  • Experience with relational databases and software development best practices.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
  • Proficiency with shell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of fixed income concepts, including duration, convexity, spread, and option-adjusted spread (OAS).
  • Strong communication, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field, or an advanced degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
