Job Description

We are seeking a Senior AI Application Engineer with strong hands-on experience in backend application development, distributed systems, and modern data technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience applying AI/ML capabilities to application modernization, legacy system transformation, data migration, and reconciliation processes.

This role will work across application development, APIs, event-driven architectures, data platforms, and AI-enabled solutions, with a strong focus on building scalable and reliable backend services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance scalable backend applications and services using Java and/or Python.
• Develop and integrate AI/ML solutions into application workflows, data pipelines, system migrations, and reconciliation processes.
• Contribute to the modernization and transformation of legacy applications, identifying opportunities to use AI and automation to improve migration and data conversion processes.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven services.
• Develop and support real-time data processing and streaming solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Configure, develop, and troubleshoot Kafka-based event streaming environments and integrations.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, to support application and data processing requirements.
• Build reliable data pipelines and integrations while ensuring data quality, consistency, and reconciliation.
• Design solutions using distributed systems, asynchronous processing, messaging, and event-driven architecture.
• Deploy and support applications in cloud environments, primarily AWS, using containers and cloud-native technologies.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow modern DevOps, monitoring, logging, and observability
• Collaborate with architects, data engineers, application teams, and business stakeholders to translate technical requirements into scalable solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
