Job Description

• The role involves full-stack development, encompassing database interaction, API layers, and UI work (utilizing JavaScript and micro front-end architecture).
• Initially, the focus will be evenly split between backend and frontend tasks, transitioning to predominantly frontend work as the assignment progresses.
• Integration into existing teams is expected, with a subsequent shift to the pay reconciliation workstream once fully staffed. The team will be supported by a dedicated Product Owner (PO) and internal Capital One employees.
• While there is no people leadership component, all positions involve hands-on engineering, with Lead and Guru levels offering guidance and technical expertise to their peers.
• The environment is Agile, emphasizing adaptability and collaboration.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript, Node.js, and database connectivity.
• Experience with Vue 3, React, Angular, or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with API development.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to AWS, particularly lambda functions (any cloud experience is acceptable).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and Kafka.
• Previous experience with Financial / Banking clients.

Highly Desirable:

• Experience with WorkDay/eTime systems.
