Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Backend Software Engineer to develop and enhance scalable microservices and API-driven applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modern backend technologies, cloud-native development, and Agile delivery practices while contributing to high-quality, production-ready software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Build scalable REST and SOAP APIs within a microservices architecture.
  • Develop robust, maintainable code following best engineering practices.
  • Create and execute automated unit and integration tests to ensure software quality.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver sprint commitments.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective technical solutions.
  • Support CI/CD processes to streamline software delivery.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of backend software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java, Kotlin, or Node.js.
  • Expertise in Spring Boot for developing enterprise applications.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and API development (REST/SOAP).
  • Experience with SQL in application development.
  • Knowledge of authentication mechanisms and session management.
  • Hands-on experience with GitHub and branching strategies, including trunk-based development.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with excellent collaboration skills.
