Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and modernize financial forecasting and accounting applications.
  • Improve forecasting engine accuracy, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Support quarterly and annual production runs, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Write clean, reliable, and well-tested production-quality code.
  • Develop automated unit and integration tests and maintain strong test coverage.
  • Collaborate across data, API, services, and infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Partner with FP&A and business stakeholders to implement forecasting capabilities and scenario analysis.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, documentation, and Agile development activities.
  • Support infrastructure upgrades, platform migrations, and adoption of new technologies.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on software development experience with Python, Java, or C#.
  • Proficiency with Git, SQL, and relational databases.
  • Experience with Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, or similar containerization/orchestration technologies.
  • Proficiency with shell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Pytest or JUnit.
  • Understanding of financial concepts, particularly fixed income, including duration, convexity, spread, and OAS.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline.
  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting fundamentals, including revenue/expense recognition and amortization.
  • CFA, FRM, CPA, or progress toward one of these certifications.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Familiarity with JIRA or similar project management tools.
  • Experience in financial services, forecasting, accounting, or related domains.
