Job Description

We are seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, and support applications within the financial modeling, analytics, and research domain. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on programming experience with Python and modern web technologies, along with a solid understanding of databases and software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain software applications supporting financial modeling, analytics, and research.
  • Develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Python and modern web technologies.
  • Review code and contribute to development standards, testing, and overall application quality.
  • Support applications used for monitoring and managing market and credit risk.
  • Troubleshoot, modify, and maintain existing applications while supporting ongoing enhancements.
  • Work with financial research and engineering teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Participate in application support, system improvements, and other technology initiatives as required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • 3–7 years of relevant software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python, JavaScript, React, and web application development.
  • Strong programming and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop production-quality code.
  • Experience with Python web frameworks or technologies such as Flask or Dash.
  • Experience with Python data-processing libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
  • Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web application development.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience working in Linux/Unix environments.
  • Knowledge of quantitative finance or financial analytics.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing AI/LLM-based agentic applications.
  • Experience with React and JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as jQuery or DataTables.
  • Knowledge of front-end design, responsive UI development, CSS, or Tailwind CSS.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS or Google Kubeflow.
  • Background in fixed income, capital markets, mortgage, or GSE environments.
  • Experience with technologies such as R, Java, C, C++, or SAS.
