Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Integrate backend services with internal platforms, market data sources, and analytics systems.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code using JUnit and automated testing frameworks.
  • Identify and resolve technical debt while promoting engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate across data, APIs, services, and infrastructure to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation.

Skills

  • 5+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA.
  • 2–3 years of experience with Git, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
  • 1–2 years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or Podman.
  • Experience with TypeScript and modern React frameworks (Vite, Next.js, etc.).
  • Experience with JUnit or other automated testing frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Graduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other event-driven architectures.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with JIRA and Agile development methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with React, including state management and API integration.
  • Prior experience in financial services, capital markets, or fintech.
  • Shell scripting experience for automation and operational support.
  • Understanding of fixed income concepts such as duration, convexity, spread, option-adjusted spread (OAS), and related derivatives.
