Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Developer Workspace Engineer with a combination of development expertise, end-user technology knowledge, and technical advocacy skills. This role focuses on designing, building, and supporting developer workspaces and tooling to enable seamless developer onboarding and day-to-day support.

The position will involve partnering with end-user collaboration and management platforms to design and deploy developer solutions across physical hardware, virtualized desktops, and browser-based environments. The role will also develop tools that integrate with existing technologies and improve adoption and usability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement developer workspaces using physical, virtualized, or browser-based solutions.
  • Develop tools primarily using Python and Java to enhance developer workflows.
  • Advocate for and implement CI/CD improvements using new tooling and established libraries.
  • Develop solutions for desktop provisioning and software package management using SCCM, VDI, or similar technologies.
  • Lead initiatives to integrate Generative AI capabilities into developer workflows.
  • Partner with end-user collaboration suites to deliver seamless developer experiences.
  • Ensure solutions comply with audit, risk, and governance requirements.
  • Promote best practices and solutions across the developer community.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in software development and end-user technology.
  • Strong development skills in Python and Java.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical advocacy skills.
