Contract Senior Product Analyst
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Technical Product Analyst to bridge business and technology teams by defining product requirements, supporting Agile delivery, and ensuring high-quality software releases. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background with expertise in data analysis, automation testing, and modern application architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Partner with business stakeholders, developers, and QA teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Support data migration, integration, and data modelling initiatives.
- Create, review, and execute automation test cases using Cypress.
- Write and optimise SQL queries for data validation and analysis.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, demos, and backlog refinement.
- Prepare project documentation, presentations, and status updates.
- Work closely with engineering teams on API integrations, microservices, and cloud-based solutions.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience as a Technical Product Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong experience with data migration, integration, and data modelling.
- Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience working with DB2; PostgreSQL experience is highly preferred.
- Understanding of cloud platforms, microservices architecture, and API integrations.
- Experience with Angular and modern web application environments.
- Hands-on experience with automation testing and writing test scripts using Cypress.
- Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using JIRA and Confluence.
- Ability to create technical user stories, define acceptance criteria, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
