Contract Senior UI/UX Engineer (React JS)
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior UI/UX Engineer with strong experience in UI development and UX design using React JS. The ideal candidate should have familiarity with JSON data sourced from MongoDB for actuarial tools and possess an analytical/actuarial background with insurance domain knowledge. Experience with Java, SQL Server, and MongoDB is beneficial but not required. Exposure to Mescius is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop user interfaces for actuarial tools using React JS.
- Design, document, review, and maintain software components for complex projects.
- Collaborate with business partners to identify requirements and develop technology solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Deliver tactical solutions that can be implemented within short timelines.
- Participate in all phases of the application development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and user support.
- Identify and resolve performance issues related to displaying large volumes of data.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and provide technical guidance to resolve them.
- Partner closely with team members on moderate to complex projects.
- Create test plans, test data, and participate in module and integration testing activities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation.
- Develop code for intermediate to complex modules following architecture, development standards, and documentation guidelines.
- Conduct design and code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Clearly communicate designs and concepts using Mural.
- Anticipate challenges, propose solutions, and implement preventive measures.
- Make informed decisions using experience, innovation, and sound judgment.
- Mentor and support less experienced team members.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve complex problems within the work area.
